Open the taps in the bath of commotion

Today is 9 October 2008, the 262d day of a punch-cut year. Peter Welch (D-VT) stated that he supported legislation mandating endowment payout minimums. Ezra Klein, radical angry populist and possible Black Power Crypto-Marxist-Megazor blogger, absurdly suggested that not all Americans make over $100,000 a year. Two men who escaped from a work crew in Vermont were captured. A manatee swimming off of Cape Cod prompted concern amongst wildlife officials. McCain supporters were found to often hold back on their true feelings out of politeness. The Dow sunk to below 9,000. The U.S. creeped closer to Communism. Paavo Haavikko died. People who were denied LA Lights sneakers as children were offered a second chance.
