Further Bowieism
I’ve been on a Ziggy Stardust binge lately, getting myself in touch with my insane zouave-pant-wearing glam-rock side. It’s such a compelling album because it anticipates a huge portion of the contemporary ‘indie’ sound thirty years in advance.
At any rate, I’ve also been listening to David Vandervelde quite a bit, whose Moonstation House Band hasn’t just got a Bowie-esque title slapped on it—it’s full of Bowie stylisms, updated oh-so-slightly to 2007.

I can just picture Ziggy-era Bowie wearing rectangular thick black plastic rimmed glasses! Keep your electric eye on me, babe…
